WBNS-FM ratings

Problem A has been the lack of keeping morning shows. Thats a major issue...you have to build your brand.

If I were Mix, I would be getting major pointers from The Mix in Chicago. That station is owned by Bonneville and is eating up the market! Did you see the PPM numbers...holy crap. Mix was in the top 5 in every single demo.

...and, as you may know, half of their super-successful morning show is a BNS-FM alumnus. Kathy Hart was on 97.1 in its oldies days, I believe. I find it curious that her Bio on the Chicago Mix site (http://www.wtmx.com/ek.php?sub=bio) talks about her prior radio work in Phoenix, Raleigh, and Rockford -- but avoids any mention of Columbus.

I checked out The Mix and in my opinion, they're a Mix clone with less 80's if any. Mix 97.1's currents are much better. Mix's currents are CHR-ish but they just need to drop the 80's and get fun.

Hey KentuckyMedia, you just gave me a thought. 'BNS should do a LMA with Bonneville...let Bonneville come into the market and program it since they seem to do pretty well with Hot AC. I don't know if that's feasible but the Wolfes would have a strong performer and could simply collect their portion of the profits and all it would cost them is some pride.

Kind of off-topic, but that got me to thinking how nice it would be to hae Bonneville running one or two of Columbus' big signals.  Or Cox, Greater Media, Entercom or Emmis.  Sigh.  Instead we've got the big behemoth (which is totally wasting one of the prized big signals - 93.1), plus locals who aren't exactly exemplary operators.  And a little bit of Saga, whose only big signal isn't about to abandon the super-snoozy approach that works for them. Sigh.
