The reply stated that "they're not aware why Movies changed stations, and that they still have an agreement with the distributor, and that it could be a number of reasons". Then they mentioned that "Movies is now on another channel". The whole reply is worded in a way that's a bit confusing, and gives me the impression that whoever wrote the reply has no idea what happened.
An appropriate to the point response would have been this...
Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately our contract to carry the Movies TV network has ended, and it has been replaced with Rewind TV. Movies has been picked up by another local station and can now be seen there.
Going into in depth detail for those who are unaware, WBNX's contract with Movies was coming to an end (3/27/2025). The new owners of WBNX (Nexstar) declined to renew for another 3 years, and as a result, it was replaced with Nexstar's Rewind TV. Movies ended up moving to WOCV-CD 35.4, which is owned by their parent company Weigel Broadcasting. Weigel also operates H&I (on 55.4) and Start TV (on 55.5), and there is no doubt that they will be eventually dropped by WBNX/Nexstar and picked up by WOCV-CD as well when their contracts end (12/1/2025 & 11/30/2026 respectively). Nexstar generally doesn't deal with the Weigel networks, which also includes MeTV, Dabl, MeTV Toons, Catchy Comedy & Story Television. Buzzr, which is operated by another party, will likely be dropped as well (12/31/2025), though its "new" home will likely be on one of those low power stations (channels 20, 26, 28, 41) that just barely covers Cuyahoga County.
