We all know that unlike many of us, you have no need to fear retribution or retaliation by any present or future employer.

Not so, by a long shot. Remember, I represent the college and if I start spouting off it can get the wrong people angry. Not at me, but at the college. That can affect a lot of things, including news coverage of our events. Then the President tells me to cut it out with the strong stuff on the message boards, or find another place to use my talents.

So, yes, I am in the same boat; different seat, different set of oars.

I really don't want to offend you, or turn this into a tinkling contest. That aside, Tom, you and I both know that The Congregation of The Holy Cross is going to feed, clothe, and shelter you forever(barring extraordinary circumstances). Most of us do not have that safety net. I think this forum and Beale's Bites are better places because of your presence, here's hoping you continue...

I'll continue here and at Beale's; this sort of conversations goes with the territory. You're right about being taken care of ... but who the h*ck wants to be sent to a parish in Bridgeport? I've got nice roots here. Anyway, back to work. I gotta read obituaries to blind people (or, at least, prep the show for tomorrow's airing).

Candice...

I have to agree with having Candice on all week. I think she would be great for the week. Not just because she is a hottie, but she delivers the news well.

Looks like Wikipedia had it right, Beale is reporting Diane Lee is on her way out at WYOU. Actually quite a shame. She seemed very polished and professional. And for the short time she was here she really made an effort to get involved in the community. I thought she was going to be the next Debbie Dunlevay, o wait I guess she was, under-appreciated by those who make the decisions.

:) ;) :D ;D

One thing for certain, Debbie's being fired marked the beginning of the end for WYOU. It's undeniable, it's all there in b&w, the ratings(and they were respectable)went right in the toilet. WBRE's are now circling the drain, too. Nexstar certainly has that magic touch, don't you think? ;D

Debbie, Vince, Jason ... they certainly know how to grab defeat from the jaws of victory.

Yes, Diane is out of there. I found out last night from someone at WYOU. I didn't find out on Beale's Bites. Diane is heading to the Fox affiliate in Albany, New York. However, Beale is reporting that Dave Kuharchik signed a five year contract extension and will be the morning and noon weather guy on that horrible Pennsylvania Morning and Midday show.
