I remember that it was only station we would listened to when coming down to the shore from Stamford, CT. We got to see a lot of those acts in NY since were so close to the city. To have a station that played stuff down there was great.
As far as Atlantic (or anyone else) doing this type of station does not guarantee success. Thats what the guys at Wibbage thought, "build it and they will come"....it must be built right or it will fall down. As I said before, they should hire or at least consult the people who made that work. From what I have seen on these boards, they (Atl.) have made some blunder moves with personel since taking over. Although they had a few improvements this last book, they've gone done hill for the most part since spring '08. So if they are to do this it would take some careful planning and talking to the right people. Like the WIBBAGE thing, the BOSS was a heritage station, do it right...good luck to them.
