Last night, coming back from our fireworks in Charleston, I was picking up the skywave signal of WBT, and they were playing the music for the "Sky Show" fireworks over at Knights Stadium.
I think that it is one of the best things on Charlotte radio every year, as before and after the display, they play music, taking requests for '60s and '70s songs. Also, after the display, they take phone calls about the show. What surprised me this year was that Al Gardner was not on hand when I listened, but instead, Doug Kellett (I believe) was taking calls and playing music.
Except for that Saturday Night Oldies show, and during Christmas, that is the only time that WBT plays music.
What do you think about the coverage of Sky Show?
