7pm-midnight: Ultimate Classic Rock Nights(with Uncle Joe Benson)
Free Beer & Hot Wings? Was "Bucket Of Chum" unavailable for mornings? Road Kill playlist. This format will likely die a quick death...Today ended the 10,000 songs in a row preview(which felt MUCH longer)and WBUF debuted their airstaff(per WBUF's homepage)...
5-10am: the syndicated Free Beer and Hot Wings show
10am-3pm: Dean
3-7pm: Crowley

What a shock!Looks like current staffers at TSQ Buffalo that are multi-tasking amongst their other roles. No one new appears to have been brought in to fill the airstaff.
Why did it run its course in Buffalo?
Follows a terrible trend that is corporate radio... Do more with less. Sad!What a shock!

Sure looks like more than three or four cars in their parking area. Yes, the sellers can work from home and they can do traffic and billing that way too, but there are more than 4 employees. Check the EEO report. Not just corporate radio. Saul Levine is running KKGO in LA with his two kids and two DJs.
I didn't say there are four employees. I specified his 2 kids and 2 DJs. Are there other DJs?but there are more than 4 employees. Check the EEO report.
If you go back to the later 50's in the era when the FCC itself required annual financial reports, you can see that even then half of all stations had no profit. Granted, some owner-operator stations took the profit as a salary for the owner back before newer forms of corporations and taxation were implemented, but it still means that a huge percentage of stations are not profitable.I didn't say there are four employees. My point is the financial crunch is affecting more than corporate radio.
I was just reading of a small station owner in Boston who isn't able to pay his air staff. That's not good.
I'm referring to the overall playlist, not the morning show. "Free Beer" is more like Stale Beer. It's another typical Morning Zoo with the female sidekick. ALT Buffalo is offering a similar product. The results for 107.7 are grim. Time will tell if WBUF gets anywhere with this "New" (Stale) approach...They're not carrying the show for the music. They're carrying the show for the hosts. The playlist is immaterial, This is basically a rock-oriented talk show with some occasional music tossed in.

No one forces you to stick your nose into and post in a market you've never been in, either. No one forces you to listen.

What? You stopped for a "michigan" while driving through?"Never" would not be correct. But being correct isn't important for you.
