CCU's efforts in creating a news image post-Katrina was so successful, they decided it would be a beneficial venture to have one of their stations do this full time.
The CC four-station simulcast, along with reinforcements from other CC news departments around the nation, simply outdid the competition's News/Talk station. That competing station was virtually absent following the storm.
WKNN, WMJY, and WQYZ bill very well. WBUV's Urban format wasn't billing as high. It was the obvious choice.
