I remember the day well..I was stationed in the Coast Guard on Governor's Island off Lower Manhattan, and listening to them in the "White Hats" enlisted men's club....A bunch of us were enjoying it, with our "beverages". We were just in our 20s, and loving the music. And I distinctly remember one of the songs they played was Percy Faith's Summer Place!!

Haven;t heard them in a couple years, since my last visit to NYC. wish we had a station like that "Down East" here in Maine!
