WCBS-FM A-Z COUNTDOWN IS BACK

When all of you have your own radio stations I guess you can remember to play those tunes and disregard others that are inconvenient at the time. In the interim I guess you will all have to continue to criticize your competition for playing or not playing.

I'm still waiting for proof that "Mr. Kite" was a "huge Top 40 hit."

It wasn't a hit and if WABC spun it it was probably once or twice tops. 45 years later it is NOT popular enough for an A-Z countdown on a hits based station with a hits based library, especially when you consider the HITS they've missed.
a spin or two on WABC back in the day would make all the mediabase know nothings everywhere else put it to "A" today. Even if they spun it Mid-6.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the A-Z Countdown this past week - it doesn't get any better than this. Thanks to CBS-FM for doing this great job.

If they're skipping over Tom Jones and Dionne Warwick hits, it's obvious they're keeping with the top 40/pop/rock and not the MOR crossovers.
