And we all know how successful they were at the end...Amen!
Today, Jay, the station owner, announced his departure from the Jay and Randy Show. When questioned on-air by Randy, who was obviously surprised by the announcement, Jay assured his partner that Randy would be back Monday. Then, the station let Randy go at the end of the day.
Nice way to pay back Randy, who has single-handedly kept the station on-the-air for years since the untimely death of David Shur, Jay's brother and co-owner of WCHE. For the record, Randy never took a sick day and only took a couple of vacation days during a 6 year period.
Randy is too talented (great writer and character voices) to be "on the beach" for long. Wouldn't be surprised to hear him on a Philly station in the near future. Good luck, Randy!
