WCKG...the end is near

Anyone care to speculate on the format, staff and date the wheel will spin? I'm guessing CBS will try to compliment their existing brands and wrestle a few shares from Clear Channel and Bonneville with a "Fresh" format. Staff, I don't know...Jennifer Stevens is available for mornings, John Symons at night, other than that I think they will make the change before Christmas.

I'd really like to see Mancow in Chicago again, that's all I know... I doubt 105.9 will be a fit for him though since I recall Mancow being in talks with CBS before and they dissolved. Not sure of the details....

I've gotta wonder if they wouldn't put Steve and Garry together for mornings. I think they should have capitalized on that a lot sooner, like when the buzz was going on about their surprise reunion show. I bet, if they do anything, it would probably have to corespond with the beginning of The Bulls season, that is if they keep The Bulls at all, or move them to another CBS station.

Just heard that the domain name "Fresh1059.com" was bought yesterday and the owner wishes to remain nameless. I think my prediction is coming true...

Too late: Registrant is listed as a Susan Hepburn.

So I guess this means that 105.9 will flip to wall-to-wall stop smoking infomercials.

How about CBS radio forcing Soul 106.3 out of its format by going Urban AC. V-103 needs some REAL competition!!!! It would be the most profitable at this point. Besides 105.9 has a much better signal than 106.3 and it would actually serve ALL of Chicago, not just the south side.

It strikes me that if ALL of Chicago wanted that format, SOME smart owner would have gone there already. Sheesh.

First of all, you need to STOP being a hater!!!! Number two, listeners of a particular format don't just live AND work on one side of town!!!! If your logic were true, then V-103 wouldn't have existed!!! I just think they (V-103) needs some REAL competition with a STRONG signal!!!!

Opie & Anthony are out in mornings, and John Tesh ("Today's Soft Music" show) will be in their place at the new Fresh. No word about Garry Meier or Steve Dahl.

Thats the first I've heard about Tesh there.... and trust me... I know ALL about ALL the Tesh affiliates. Before they become affiliates.....

Whadya mean it's not gonna happen. It looks like it already has. Someone leaked the CBS outdoor billboard specs and it says it all. I predicted this a year ago.

I can tell you 100% that NOBODY has approached the John Tesh Show about that station.

....wait... better yet... make that 150%.

Now.... who do I send the letter to about unauthorized use of the Tesh brand and image....
