The FCC has already approved WNYC's applications to buy WDFH (to rebroadcast WQXR), and to boost its power from 53 to 250 watts.
That did not take long.
WQXR has taken over WDFH this afternoon, following the closing of the sale. The WDFH website confirms they are no longer on the air.
The WQXR site states that the new WQXW will receive a power boost from about 50 to 250 watts in the fall.
