WDJO: Does anyone care anymore?

Thanks to Mr. Yinger for those numbers and for quoting igiveup's post, which he apparently deleted. I was looking back at the last year of 1160 and 2010 when they were still "olidies" on 1480 to get the numbers I used for comparison.
Maybe igiveup can explain his ridiculous allegation that changing the format is a "legal dodge." Please back it up. (I already know you can't).
I understand that it's disappointing when something you like changes. I miss analog TV, cigarette lighters in cars, and the afternoon paper. But, I've learned that times change and I move on. Some of you seem inordinately angry about a radio station that really isn't much of a factor.

Maybe parting company with Dusty was due to a format change?

Might have a bit more to do with the fact that Dusty is just one of many that are suing this dump!

I think you may have a point there

I turned them on Sunday afternoon and heard 4 or 5 classic country songs in a row... oops. Nope that was a skip from somewhere. The signal has really gotten bad. When they finally did come in it was some really odd 70s album track. More power to them (literally and figuratively). I hope they are doing well, it s just not to my taste. When I want oldies, it is either Big in Dayton, iHeart Real Oldies or Rchbroradio.com.

To all the unhappy folks... there are several stations for sale here in town. And after the bench trial in December another might be available. 300k and a box of records. Poof. Oldies are back :)

Love the site. Cool. The devil is transmitters. Do you really need them? If you are a music station the only thing a small stick like 1480 gets you is a better deal to stream. If you had a huge stream idea and hosted it on a local stick, but programmed and sought revenue from the universe it might take sense. But the only formats that make any financial sense on 1480 ...gospel, old skool, or paid religion (and that well is about dry)

Tough times to own radio.
