WDVE sports

Passed a DVE remote van coming out of the parking lot at 200 Fleet Street the other
day, and it had a WV helmet logo painted on it. I am guessing that means the move of
Mountaineer football to 102.5 is permanent?

I'm with Talk Dude. But, they do have that van with all the stations and sports teams. Plus, they have the DVE only van. Is that what you saw it on? Because if it was on the former, then they can easily slide the Mountaineer games on 970...or 3WS.

I'm not sure. Only caught the big WV and the DVE logo out the rear view mirror.

Was The Fan able to carry the Westwood One feed of the Steeler game last night?

If they were, it would explain (a) why the took the package, and (2) the whole thing with the WVU broadcast on DVE.

The FAN did not have the Steeler-Ravens game last night. And I don't think DVE had the WVU-Rutgers game on Saturday, either, so that must have been just a one-time, Backyard Brawl event.

In the case of NFL games, the local team has exclusivity within a specific radius (75 miles I think) where a national feed (Westwood One) can't be broadcast over the air.
