It seems to me the "Frequency of the week" threads should be closed/locked after a week.
you can quote more then one post in a reply, no need to reply twice.. again, clogging up more spaceSo true. Good DX to all!
That's my philosophy. You can always just scroll past it.
As long as FOTW is here, I'll participate. Thanks to Mario for picking it up after Cyberdad's disappearance from the boards. That's my philosophy.
This is a web forum, discussion and new posts are expected.
Perhaps "FOTW AM 560" threads can be renamed "AM 560," allowing discussion to carry on...
Would be nice to get an update on Cyberdad. Seeing as how he is an administrator, you'd believe one of the other admins would have some basic knowledge of his current whereabouts, or what may have been the catalyst for his sudden departure. He's been a participant on this website for many years, and I personally have never seen him take this long of a sabbatical from the board, ever.As long as FOTW is here, I'll participate. I remember he said he used to work at KSTT and replaced Steve Bridges, who's still on the air at KCJJ, so Steve might know his name if anyone wants to ask him.We don't, unfortunately! He was made an admin under previous ownership, and none of us know who he is in IRL or how to reach him, sorry to say.
I have though the same thing, but unless someone knows/knew him outside of this board we'll likely never find out.Would be nice to get an update on Cyberdad. I don't wish to be grim, but I'm getting the feeling Cyberdad may not longer with us, period. I wish we knew for certain, for a chance at some closure, and an opportunity to pay the man the respect that he so rightly deserves. He has always been a spectacular and kind-hearted individual, who has brought an enjoyable experience to many of us who visit.
Wherever you may be, Cyberdad, know that you are sorely missed here. God speed, sir.
I'm not sure how that work, partner.I remember he said he used to work at KSTT and replaced Steve Bridges, who's still on the air at KCJJ, so Steve might know his name if anyone wants to ask him.
Steve is on a couple of the MWDX Facebook groups, so maybe?I'm not sure how that work, partner.
"KCJJ."
"Hello, Steve? Steve, this is Rose. How are you doing? The family? Great to hear! Look, I don't actually know you, you don't know me, and I don't know who I'm really contacting you about, but by chance do you know what happened to Cyberdad from Radiodiscussions.com? Apparently, you replaced him on KCJJ. "
"Radiodiscussions com."
"It's a message board."
"No, this is not a joke. Do you know Cyberdad or don't you?"
*dial tone*
"Hello? Hello?!? Shit, that didn't work."
Just ribbing ya, radiofan. After the last rather morbid submission I penned, I felt the need to counterbalance myself with a little humor.
Very little, perhaps.
Couldn't hurt to try. Maybe one of the current radiodiscussions admins (Scott or David maybe?) could try asking him in an effort to track down a missing board admin. Would make it sound more "official" than some rando poster doing it.Steve is on a couple of the MWDX Facebook groups, so maybe?

Im FB friends with Steve.. i just found cyberdad's picture in his bio here and sent it to steve with a long shot question.... ill let you know what kind of answer i get
Thank you. I've been worried enough that I looked through the online death notices for the papers in the Crystal Lake area, and happily, no photos nor bios of the departed on those matched.Steve doesnt recognize him, but I asked him to try and reach out to some KSTT alum if he could and he said hed try
If one called, emailed or messaged Steve, all it would take is a simple introduction and say you're trying to remember who Steve succeeded.I'm not sure how that work, partner.
"KCJJ."

That's something we can all agree on.Hope cyberdad is ok and that he'll come back at some point.
