Would be nice to get an update on Cyberdad. Seeing as how he is an administrator, you'd believe one of the other admins would have some basic knowledge of his current whereabouts, or what may have been the catalyst for his sudden departure. He's been a participant on this website for many years, and I personally have never seen him take this long of a sabbatical from the board, ever.

I don't wish to be grim, but I'm getting the feeling Cyberdad may not longer with us, period. I wish we knew for certain, for a chance at some closure, and an opportunity to pay the man the respect that he so rightly deserves. He has always been a spectacular and kind-hearted individual, who has brought an enjoyable experience to many of us who visit.

Wherever you may be, Cyberdad, know that you are sorely missed here. God speed, sir.
 
We don't, unfortunately! He was made an admin under previous ownership, and none of us know who he is in IRL or how to reach him, sorry to say.

I remember he said he used to work at KSTT and replaced Steve Bridges, who's still on the air at KCJJ, so Steve might know his name if anyone wants to ask him.

I have though the same thing, but unless someone knows/knew him outside of this board we'll likely never find out.

Couldn't hurt to try. Maybe one of the current radiodiscussions admins (Scott or David maybe?) could try asking him in an effort to track down a missing board admin. Would make it sound more "official" than some rando poster doing it.

Im FB friends with Steve.. i just found cyberdad's picture in his bio here and sent it to steve with a long shot question.... ill let you know what kind of answer i get

Steve doesnt recognize him, but I asked him to try and reach out to some KSTT alum if he could and he said hed try

Thank you. I've been worried enough that I looked through the online death notices for the papers in the Crystal Lake area, and happily, no photos nor bios of the departed on those matched.

If one called, emailed or messaged Steve, all it would take is a simple introduction and say you're trying to remember who Steve succeeded.
As it was on good terms, imagine Steve would provide that info.
 
This thread has now gone into people trying to reach out to people who may or may not know someone who may not want to be found right now and trying to out their identity without their permission...

Let's please shy away from those actions.
