During the "Ashley" era here in dallas, she was dating a guy who ran a pool hall I used to frequent in ellum. She would come storming into the place and demand the barstaff wait on her hand and foot even if people where ahead of her. About the time he got smart and dumped her, the place mysteriously caught fire...coincidence?
Well she might have been and/or still is a prima-donna but she is a hottie and her career certain went a lot more high profile than Tim Ryan's has, that is for certain.
She still is a hottie in my book. So is the weather girl out in LA. Jillian Barbieri or whatever her name is !!

Ashleigh is going to anchor Hollywood Heat (I think that's the name) plus the other show she anchors on Court TV now....I wouldn't call that barely hanging on...I don't see the appeal of Tim Ryan...I think Meagan deserves a better co-anchor.

I think Jackie Hyland is the best thing to happen to the Dallas. She is a great anchor and great to look at too! Its great that she has lots of energy she needs to considering who she works with.
Ashleigh has about 10 times more talent in her little finger than Tim Ryan has in his entire body !!
He comes across as a HUGE nerd and a bad attitude as well. Meagan surely deserves somebody better.
As for Jackie Hyland, she is pleasing on the eyes, but still looks a little "stiff" to me..........
On this morning's Saturday broadcast, my wife commented to me, Debbie Denmon does NOT need to be wearing ruffles............(it was her outfit she had on) and of course, she was paired with "Wolf Boy", Brad Hawkins............

I really like Jackie Hyland. I think she is the real deal. Channel 8 is lucky to have her. Bet she won't stay long.
Time will tell if Victory Park was worth it. Long time Dallas Morning News TV critic Ed Bark commented:
"On the news front, the debut of Belo8's high-priced Victory Park studios had no immediate payoff. The ABC station's principal showcase in the new digs, Daybreak, placed third in total homes behind frontrunner Fox4 and runnerup NBC5. Daybreak did score a thin, one-tenth of a rating point victory among 25-to-54-year-olds, the principal advertiser target for news programming. But it had been doing well with that demo anyway."
Okay, that was the ratings breakdown for the first day. More to follow.

Its not february sweeps yet,but the Ch.8 "A"<?>team was on last night at ten. The other channels stuck with their weekend team. That shows faith. Ch.8 is still promoting Pete Delkus at every opportunity ,BUT apparently they changed tactics due to Criticism. Steve was on the scene doing the actual weather forecast and explanation. Pete was just pointing out where the ice was,and embellishing it as much as he could. Steve just explained why it happened and what "could" happen.
Again( beating a dead horse) Steve should be Troy's successor.
