WGCL Requests New Callsign - WANF

Even at the 4th Place position it seems they dont have an identity by ratings since Fox took over WAGA's owner New World, but we seen Gray's other stations WBTV, WAVE, and recently WSMV dropping syndies but I would be surprised if a high profile syndie like Inside Edition moves to PeachtreeTV. Access and Access Live for example should've move instead to either PeachtreeTV, CW Atlanta, or The ATL for more viewer visibility especially since Atlanta and the entire Georgia state is tax friendly for Hollywood.

LPFMs don't have to change their calls to accommodate anyone on AM or FM. WMEX exists as an AM (1510) in Quincy, Massachusetts, while WMEX-LP is a separately owned LPFM in Rochester, New Hampshire. Are the rules different for television stations and their low-power translators?

Peachtree TV already has one run of Inside Edition at 10pm but it moves to 11pm. WGCL, soon to be WANF, will drop their run of Inside Edition as the 3pm news extends to an hour. The future WANF keeps Big Bang Theory at 7:30 but it should’ve been Inside Edition at 7:30 on 46 and BBT at 11 on Peachtree to pair with Young Sheldon at 11:30. But I have a feeling the 7pm news will eventually expand to an hour.

Peachtree is also going to simulcast the 4, 5 and 6:00 News.
 
Well, there's a WSTR-FM station in Atlanta and WSTR-TV (My Metwork TV) in Cincinnati. Also besides Atlanta's WGCL-TV, there's a WGCL radio in Cleveland. Not quite clear on how this effects TV station to TV station.

Peachtree also have a local food show called Atlanta Eats but thanks to the 9am news u made a case and point why simulcast if u have ample room on Peachtree or CW69 or ATL. The changes won't take affect in October but Atlanta Eats should be cancelled TBH while adding 7:30pm news and Inside Edition should moved to another station.

It doesn't have to change. There's a WXII-TV Winston-Salem and a WXII-LP Cadillac, Mich.

The same thing will happen here... WANF Atlanta and WANF-LD Jackson, Tenn.

The same call sign can be applied as long as the suffixes are different... AM/FM/TV/LD (or LP)/CD (or CA).
 
Duly noted. I wasn't really certain about those situations. Curiously enough, Gray owns the Jackson WANF.

WGCL radio is in Bloomington IN.
 
Almost back to their old callsign WANX.

The old 46 studios on Briarcliff still exist. I keep meaning to stop by there.

Does that mean a fullpower FM station can snag the call letters of an LPFM as long as it's not in same market? I know an FM owner who would like to carryout that action. The FM owner tried that with the old "callsign finder webpage" but that always responded "No.. Callsign Already Assigned"

Please enlighten...

I believe that's right. The two WMEXs are far enough apart that their coverage areas don't overlap. Coincidentally, both have the same format: '50s-'70s oldies.

Different rules for LPTV and LPFM.
In radio, if you're WXXX and you want to become WYYY but there's a WYYY-LP, you would need to get their written permission to get permission to become WYYY. Same if WZZZ is an AM in Town A, but you want to become WZZZ-FM somewhere else.
