WGCO issues

Since it never got answered in this thread, anyone know what happened to Chuck Cannon?

Chuck Cannon has his own thing going on now, Savannah's Cool Oldies.

Chuck is currently manning an airshift weekdays from 9 AM - Noon, with Debbie Bolton soon to follow weekdays from Noon - 3 PM.

Check it out at http://savannahscoololdies.com/

The logo at the right of the page is also a listen link.

Enjoy!

It is a great internet oldies station.
I love 98.3 as well, I carried them just almost to Macon last week, most all of Savannah's signal's are massive.

You can hear them all the way down thru Jacksonville usually, with that open 98.3 frequency. In the Charleston area, even with a first-adjacent at 98.1, you can still hear them about half the time (with the distance of the transmitter).

They have a big signal.

Oh, they have always had a great signal. Really crisp and clear with great channel separation. I use the signal as a benchmark when I'm fiddling with my setup. Because of that great big coverage area, 98.3 is a dandy "road station," too.

It's about 1000' tall & located in northern McIntosh County. It can be easily seen on I-95 South at the Liberty/McIntosh line...just look east.

It is a monster signal. Who is this Monterey Licenses, LLC that is the licensee?

They're part of Triad, locally branded as Adventure radio.

I've mentioned it on this forum somewhere before, but I've gotten the signal all the way from North Charleston to below Jacksonville on I-95. In Jax I think it's the best Savannah signal (duh, they're pretty far south).
