WGN America Vs. Local

Well as of January 30, 2016 they now only just carry WBBM, WMAQ, WLS & WFLD, because they no longer have WGN (Local) & WTTW on the Kenosha & Racine lineup.

On neither of them? Wow. Last time I looked at Screener TV, and this has been a few months now, WGN9 was still on both. Wonder why they would drop WGN9 and keep the others? One could make an argument it should be the other way around.
ETA: Screener TV shows that Spectrum in Kenosha and Racine still carry the local feed, not WGN America. WTTW gone on both. I know these sites can be wrong, but Screener is generally very reliable. Are you in suburban Milwaukee and can you attest to the change in feeds first-hand?

Well, I've looked at all other tv listings sites for those areas, and they instead show WGN America, Instead of WGN/9, Even a comment on Facebook confirms it too.

Comcast in Chicago itself has carried both versions for a few years now, but I think that only happened after WGN America became a basic cable channel rather than the national feed of WGN9 in late 2014.
I don't think any non-Chicago DMA cable systems outside those areas of southeast Wisconsin between Milwaukee and Chicago and, of course, Canada, carry WGN9 anymore. I believe even the cable systems in the far southwest corner of Michigan that carry the other Chicago stations carry WGN America rather than WGN9.

The local version of WGN was dropped from Spectrum cable in Kenosha a few years ago, the only Chicago channels are CBS,ABC,NBC and FOX and only in Standard Definition. I believe the Kenosha system was the last cable system in Wisconsin that carried WGN9.

Found this out a few weeks ago. Can't remember how I stumbled on it. Plenty of people in southeast Wisconsin seem unhappy about the decision and Spectrum has been less than forthcoming as to why ... especially considering that the other big Chicago stations remain on cable in that area. Doesn't make much sense when you think about it.
