WGRR and The Fox

Wow.....guess if you had both stereo stations on at the same time, with the same song, would that be quad radio? Wait....wasn't that Q102?

Geez, dude. Move on. Whether you like it or not WGRR is changing. You can find all of your old friends on the AM side...

Strike my last post. I just realized... you have to be kidding.

I heard Tom Petty on WGRR on Sunday and I was shocked because I have never in my life heard Tom Petty on WGRR. I thought it was something The Fox would play only not WGRR. But i guess they are moving closed and closer to the classic hits format.

Cumulus may have made a couple of tremendous blunders that will take them years to work out of. WGRR, a slow death. Supertalk, instant death.

Ok. So let's say Cumulus "dumps WGRR and goes Jack".

I give it about 2 months before you're on this board complaining that Cumulus really screwed up... they don't know how to program Jack... the station is all over the place... they need focus... what a terrible idea... what were they thinking...

...ad nauseum

Why don't they make PooperTalk a Jack then? That was such an obvious format hole, and they missed a golden opportunity.

That would've made too much sense. I don't understand them wanting to make WGRR a Classic Rocker aka 92.5 The Fox. If anything they should go later Classic Rock with a heavy focus on the 80's.

Amen.

Have people not noticed that among Cumulus's portfolio, classic hits and country are the two biggest formats that they know? And the Fox has sucked for years, by design, lest it take numbers from EBN. Oh, and that's where the money demo is - established, more mature folks with LOTS of disposable income. Personally, I'm looking forward to a battle in the classic hits arena.

As for Supertalk, it nearly doubled in the trend - and beat Mix in the process. Just 'cuz you don't like it doesn't mean that it's going to fail.
