WGSR files for channel 47 DTV

Good News!

The Greensboro market now has three new digital channels. WGSR installed a new encoder this evening, and now have four subchannels on 47.

Right now they're in "test mode" while we tweak things and make sure things are stable, but we will have programming on them in the next couple of weeks.

Thanks to a SUPER engineer for the work he did in putting this together. At the very least, we now have a war story or two to tell at NAB.

As always, comments are welcome.

When are you guys suppose to be on satellite and cable?

We're trying. Like the old saying goes..."How do you attract a mouse? Make noise like a cheese." Well, we're making the right noise, but trying to decide if it needs to be cheddar, gouda, helmentoller or limburger is killing us. :)

Our second channel of regular programming has been added. 47.4 is now up and running with Star News Channel - Martinsville. This is our company's original channel, and formerly available only on cable on Henry County, VA.

While some features are seen on both 47.1 (main channel) and 47.4, the programming on each channel is separate, local and distinct.

As always, comments are welcome.
