WGST back on FM - It's about time!

I can't believe the've waited this long to put Beck, Rush et.al. on FM.
Now they need a real morning news show i.e. spend some money on news gathering - maybe Hullinger could anchor - upgrade traffic and get a real freakin' meteorologist (the Weather Channel just plain sux.)
I like Dave Ramsey but he'll have to go. Sean Hannitty is soooooo insipid - there has to be programming available which would send him back to the 1 shares he used to get in Atlanta.
I fear it will be more inept hosts like(insert names here)and more of that "put any warm body in front of the mic" kinda stuff. We certainly don't need any more ex jocks(radio or sports) or former WGST talk show hosts........
Do you think the hot lookin' GM at ClearChannel can actually build around the Beck/Limbaugh base already in place? If she can pull this off then I'll wash her car every morning for the next three months......

I would love to have Dennis O'Hayer back on during afternoon drive -- I don't mind the concept of a Ramsey type show -- but not during drivetime -- I would much prefer a local news-oriented show.

No guarantee this is the new format. It just might be some stunting until the new format rolls since they are not announcing on GST. I listened to the 12:00 news and no mention of 105.7,

The lineup on WGST will not work on FM! Come on they are all over 55 and fine with AM and during the day the signal is good enough to reach the metro. I smell a new format on 105.3 and Patron to 105.7 if they are smart?

Peach again!!???
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks pretty typical for an AC, has a pretty heavy gold lean. Even if it is a stunt, it looks loads better than B98.5 (heck, most AC stations do).

Seems to me if they were going to simulcast WGST, they would have started with imaging and not switched to talk then off of it. The FM would have just joined the AM's programming with updated liners and that would be the end.

Plus they would have turned off the stereo I would think.

The music and imaging don't sound like a stunt. There appears to be some thought behind the music. However, that doesn't necessarily mean anything.

But if this is for real, and this kind of repeats what Carolina said, the music is typical of a real AC. The music on B98.5 is not.

Also, El Patron, even missing Gwinnett, gets pretty good ad rates. And their ratings should increase without Viva. The AC audience resides in the northern parts of the market too, so if this is AC thing is not a stunt, they might keep the frequencies as they are.
