What are some good station recommendations that still broadcast primarily Standards like KLBB?

Are there some good recommendations for stations that mostly still play "Adult Standards", in the US?

Like KLBB 1220 used to? KLBB Used to be a Loved One's fav. station, Rest Their Soul. I think of them whenever I hear this kind of music.

(EDIT: I know of Uptown 1010 WMIN, but they make it impossible to stream their station on your phone, which is what I'd like to do - another Minnesotan-based station would be perfect)

KVSV Beloit KS?

They lean towards 1950s-1980s with some Michael Buble and other soft AC mixed in. Quite a wide playlist. Just started streaming this past fall I believe. And ALL local!

If you're looking for a Minnesota Standards outlet, I would recommend KDKK-FM in Park Rapids. They sign off during the overnight hours, and if you're not a MAGA conservative, avoid the half hour Coffee Talk at 9:30am CT, hosted by the 90 year old owner.

Not being familiar with KLBB, the Wikipedia page says they were an affiliate of America's Best Music. If that's true, there are some of those left that you can stream.

KHAR, and WMST....are two of them.

serenade-radio.com has a "vast" collection. It is based in Britain and has likable hosts. A number of songs are instrumental covers but most of the songs they play fit the definition of what we call standards. There are many versions of each song. The shows I have listened to run from 10 A.M. to 1 P.M. Eastern weekdays, 2 P.M. to 4 P.M. Eastern weekdays, 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. Eastern weekdays (this show is a little more like America's Best Music than the others) and 4 P.M. to 6 P.M. Eastern weekends. I think each of the weekday shows run 12 hours earlier or later too. These shows are an hour later in most of March and early April and at the end of October because Americans change to "Summer Time" and back to standard time at different times. There are also numerous instrumentals from 1 to 2 P.M. Eastern and 7 to 8 P.M. Eastern weekdays. I've never listened but another show that might be the same runs from 8 to 10 Eastern weekdays, morning and night.

KHAR sounds pretty good, I'll have to stream it for awhile & see. I like that it's an Alaskan Station, those have a different feel - same with Hawaiian ones.

I like that it's a Minnesotan Station, trying to stay as local as possible.

Why do they sign off overnight? I also stopped listening to political talk, it's plain unhealthy, so I'll make sure to avoid that for sure lol

Good question regarding the sign off at 11pm or midnight. Maybe save a few bucks on electricity? KDKK is also the only Standards station with a 100kw FM signal.

KHAR is all satellite fed from westwood ones adult standards network which is really soft adult oldies these days

Will have to bookmark WJEJ and try it out later.

Does the SDR keep playing when you close Chrome? Because WMIN's stream doesn't, I leave the browser & it just stops the stream and I've tried everything I know to fix it, no luck.
I don't know if it does or not - you'll have to try it out
