What commercials do you hate the most?

Can you hear me know? is getting annoying.

The jingles of the three ads you mentioned bounce around with you for hours
and days afterwards, be they good or bad in your opinion. Which means they're
doing their job, reminding you of said product.

How about the ads for "A company called Novartis". Yes, it's great that this drug prolongs lives, etc., but the syrupy music is a turn off for me.

There used to be an ad jingle for the Loan Depot that ran for years, and
got ingrained in our memories:
If you're a homeowner and you need a loan
Call the Loan Depot, pick up the phone
1-800-USA-LOAN
Homeowners...pick up the phone
(music fill)
We're helping homeowners all over the state
Keep all their dreams alive, call now don't wait
We can help you in every way
Homeowners...do it today"

still remember it

Yes...you'd have Howie read it on WRKO, and Ordway on WEEI, and so on. The
"Purr-ina" one, as Blute mispronounced it, was a good example. There were some
weight loss ones awhile back that did the same thing--different talk hosts
used to report their progress using the diet, basically the same script.

What about that new Dane M. Shulman one where he forgets his line in the middle of the ad but they leave it in anyway?

(Attorney Phillips, that... um, the offer is an insult to me and my client)

Going back a few years -- anyone remember the ad for Gold Bond powder? At the time, I was amazed that people could talk about such ailments on the radio.

Then, of course, I started listening to Howard Stern....

Re: Giant Glass Re: What commercials do you hate the most?

Sadly, I just don't think Ernie, Jr. is half the pitchman his father was. Admittedly, it's a high standard to live up to, especially the Ernie Boch of the 80's and early 90's.

Speaking of basements -- the water proofer who has the phone number 1-800-BUSY DOG? Great phone number for a business, planting that subliminal suggestion that they're always on the go.
