I would never argue as to how good "Recuerdo" is - I think it's fantastic and it sounds great (while I don't speak Spanish I do speak radio and it is well put together) - and the numbers speak for themselves. I do think though if CC were to launch "La Preciosa" in L.A. - they would have to tailor it to the market and make it local ... the satellite version would probably be a tough sell.
I thought you also said Entravision's "Jose" is another "Recuerdo" rip-off.
However, you cannot argue with the ratings success CC has had with "La Preciosa." Fresno will likely be a good long term battle to see who is stronger.
Wouldn't San Francisco also be a good "Recuerdo" market? While I haven't seen monthlies up there - "La Kalle" seems to be off to a slow start and it would be interesting to see how it would there vs. KSJO.
I know CC has installed it in San Diego - but I would wonder if 102.9 might also be a "Recuerdo" opportunity. (sorry off track about L.A.)
