WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO CATHY BUCKLEY?

The answers above are incorrect. If you worked in New York City, New York State or New Jersey radio in a certain time period, you will know who she is.

This has been a good test to see the level of sophistication and radio experience of the people who use these message boards. An experienced radio professional who worked in New York City, New York State or New Jersey would easily know who she is and her place in radio history.

Apparently the sound of crickets wasn't enough of a clue. Maybe a song?

Troll Boy Today
(orig. YMCA by the Village People)
by C.H.C.

Troll boy, please stopping coming around.
I said, troll boy, you are bringing us down.
I said, troll boy, time to get out of town
Would indeed make us so happy

Troll boy, you know where you can go.
I said, troll boy, pick an exit and blow.
If you stay here, then I’m sure that you’ll find
You just will not have a good time

Let’s plonk us a Troll Boy Today.
Let’s plonk us a Troll Boy Today.
My reader has one thing I really do enjoy
My kill filter is still my best toy.

Don't make me post the rest of the song.

If there's some kind of erstwhile personal affiliation between RADIO TRUTH and Cathy Buckley, maybe "Every Breath You Take" is more appropriate...

Here's a little clue. People who were associated with WOR-FM/WXLO, WPIX-FM, WWDJ, WABC, WTRY, WPTR, WABY, WKBW, WYSL, WHYN and various other stations would know who she is during a certain period of years.

Clues don't seem to be something you're good at, so let's try the direct approach.

The sound of crickets chirping means nobody cares.

There are only two reasonable explanations for the trolling that I can think of. One, there is no "Cathy Buckley" and you want to see how far you can push this. Two, you are or are close friends with "Cathy Buckley" and you want to fluff your/her ego.

A, B or do you want to use a lifeline?

No, Cathy is a very real person...

Spoke with former WXLO staffer Ron Gold, who informs me the last time he heard about Cathy she was working up at ABC Radio News in the 80s, and then he lost track of her. He will check with some of his fellow former staffers and see if anyone's heard from her lately.
