WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO CATHY BUCKLEY?

Isn 't that the young lady who went by the air-name.."Roberta W. Morgan"?? Somewhere I think I have some tape of her on WCCC in Hartford, CT. back in their CHR days.
I got to meet her at WCCC-FM/Hartford. She was hot, but married, which didn't seem to get in the way of us playing at her place AND at my place. At the time, she told me her husband was working at Albany's WABY, which made no sense because of distance, but that didn't faze either of us.

Here's some fun triva, shel777.

Prior to your reply, the last time anyone posted in this thread:
  • The first generation iPhone had just been released with an MSRP of $499, and it sold a whopping 1.4 million units in 2007
  • George W Bush was President of the United States
  • The number one song was "Crank That (Soulja Boy)" by Soulja Boy Tell 'Em
  • Spotify's debut in the United States was still four years in the future

I knew Cathy quite well. Take that at face value, not "know" in the biblical sense. We both had connections to WPTR and WABY. But I haven't heard from her - or about her - in many, many years. This was largely during her Albany years in the late 70s. Her on air name at WABY (and I believe on WCCC) was Roberta A. Morgan. And yes, I know the whole story, which she told me herself.

This has been a good test to see the level of sophistication and radio experience of the people who use these message boards. An experienced radio professional who worked in New York City, New York State or New Jersey would easily know who she is and her place in radio history.
SOPHISTICATION? A tease to revealing personal information about a female jock? Get OVER yourself, Goofus.
