What ever happened to....

Tom is in Tulsa at K95 doing mornings. Jen from Jon and Jen is out of radio and I think was working at the UofA. Last time I seen Larry he was doing sales out of radio, that has been over a year ago though.

A couple of WEHT's from a Connecticut listener who spent three years in Arkansas in the late '70s: Brother Hal, KLRA (I assume he's no longer with us; he was pretty old when I was there and had a history of heart trouble, IIRC.), and the DJ who billed himself as the Weird Beard of Country Music at KXLR. Any info?

Yeah, we lost Brother Hal a few years back. I forget when, but maybe five years ago or so. Because he lived around the corner from me, I used to run by his house once a week to pick up tapes for the upcoming week's shows. This was on the short-lived "All New KLRA-FM 96.5" out of England, Ark, which was trying to tap into the old 1010's fame after its format change in the late '80s. I saved a couple of those tapes, which were just his part, minus the live host who put it all together.

I posted one to the web a while back from 1989. It runs about 22 minutes and while it isn't quite the same as when he was on 1010, you sure get what his appeal was...
