What FM frequencies are more susceptible to multipath and interference?

I believe preference for dial position was much more of an issue in the days of analog ("slide rule") tuning dials. There was just a natural aversion by people to tune all the way to one end or the other of the dial.

Also not mentioned here is interference to FAA facilities. In my observation over the years, it seems more high-end-of-the-dial facilities garner the ire of the FAA radio people regarding interference to their receive facilities. If you've not been through one of these, I don't recommend it.

Been there before. Turns out the problem wasn't our transmitter but problems with the FAA site. They do mean business when they call, but were polite about it, Biggest interference issue nowadays is dealing with cellular carriers complaining about high order harmonics from FM sites.
