Agree. I think it'd do great on 104.7.nuffsaid said:Realistically there is a void for a real Classic Hits / Oldies station. CBS has been very successful with this format in a number of major markets and have no idea why they have not done it in Charlotte. The format could draw really good numbers as it has in more of the Top 20 markets. Some broadcaster in Charlotte needs to take the bull by the horns and make the switch.
I don't see K-104.7's updated sound is doing anything for them. If any station should go classic hits, it's them. PPM loves classic hits. Seems like there's more potential in that than whatever they're doing now to try to compete with 107.9 and 102.9.nuffsaid said:There are great opportunties for Dave and The Ride but that hole has been there for a number of years and the market has not responded. Is there something out there that we do not know that has kept a metro station from taking the leap to Classic Hits / Oldies and becoming a major player in the market? CBS has experience with this format in a number of markets and they are winning. Clear Channel has put the format on in a number of their markets and they are winning. Go figure!

During the day, it is on AM. If you're in a good location and have a good antenna.eacalhoun1 said:Classic Country! And right now, someone could kick it off with the slogan:
"Just because it's NEW, doesn't mean it's better....Country Legends xxx.x, Wxxx"
