One with processing that doesn't make it sound artificially bright. One with intelligent music selections, from folk, blues, jazz, classical, americana and other genre's. One that would cater to the highest common denominator rather than the lowest. I wish I could hear announcers who could speak intelligently about the music, explaining its significance without hyping me.

That almost describes "One of a Kind, KERA 90.1" before they went talk. I miss 'em.
To bad the KERA music crew and music library didn't migrate over to another station in town after the change. They had a great thing going.
One would ask then, why has our esteemed friends over at KERA:
1. Not began broadcasting in HD . . . .
2. That would give them an HD-2 Channel to broadcast a progressive easy listening station for the 'Highest Common Denomiator"......
Frankly, if all terrestrail radio is going to be is News/Talk/Sports AND meaningless musical pablum..... then I really don't care if goes into technical obsolesence ! !
AND, why hasn't WRR began broadcasting in HD-2, so we can a channel that plays something other than the same old lowest common demoniator selections..... An HD-2 Channel that would play something other than Star Wars soundtracks ans the like ????
