...WHAT ratings? Chump Channel simply operates the station with the intention of never letting anyone know it's there, so that they can then turn around and say, "See? Liberal Talk gets no listeners." When was the last time you saw a KTLK, Stephanie Miller or Randi Rhodes billboard, even on one of Chump Channel's own poles?...

It wasn't necessary to purchase advertising because the mainstream media gave Air America more free publicity than anyone could eved buy.

Also, if the product is good, the audience will find it, with or without advertising. Air America and its left-behind remnants that have stayed on since is not good programming. The audience, not the advertising has determined. that

Ken Minyard was a liberal. During most of his 35-year career at KABC and KRLA, he was teamed with either Bob Arthur, Roger Barkley, or Rick Minyard (his son.) Perhaps he wouldn't have had as large an audience if he had worked solo, but I think he did all right, ratings-wise. (Unless David Eduardo says otherwise. Speaking of which, do conservatives listen to the radio more than liberals do? If so, is that part of the reason for the failure of liberal talk?)

...no performance form ever appeals to an opposite audience, especially if a primary element of that performance form includes demonisation of said audience. Most "Conservative" talk outfits spent over a dozen years of vicious antagonism against political liberals, effectively driving them from the talk radio marketplace. To suddenly add a primarily liberal talk station to a market without bothering to promote it on a long-term basis to bring those liberal audients back into the marketplace after that long an absence only indicates the station ownership has something other than service to the community in mind. ChannelFlipper's claims are absurd in the extreme...
