That is a GREAT question, allnews. Come on, TQR apologists, the fall book has started and that new coat of paint was NOT applied. Did Jeff Roper want too much $$$ or what?
Angie and Eloise....what a team....who hoo....that is the new morning show.
Not a fresh coat of paint...a fresh coat of make up......really thick makeup to boot!!
Here is what the geniuses have done....
Move Brother Bill to pm drive, BEFORE they get a new morning show.....Move Angie out of middays to work with eloise in the morning......theyve disrupted every daypart on the radio station.
Roper doesn't want too much money...he just doesn't want to be part of that den of iniquity at CC.

yes b ut roper hasn't been in market 25...his last gig was Columbia SC
Just like me and BIG APE alwyas say, once you dip outa the top 5, it doesn't matter what market you're in. 25, 35, 45...who cares????????

Winston-Salem sucks??? Winston-Salem is a great city! Interesting, progressive, diverse, great bars, great street festivals, the arts, theatre, great restaurants, new ball park, revitalizing of downtown, Kermits hotdogs, Sweet Potatoes, Foothills Brewery, on and on. What does it not have that YOU like? Or, have you not really spent any time there to know? And, I would argue that WSJS is probably the best AM radio station in the area. Just because the big Corps decided to locate in the middle of the Triad near the airport so their legions of salespeople would have access to all cities doesn't diminish Winston-Salem in any way. You'll need to explain your stance on that so we can understand just why you think WS sucks. Very odd comment.

Winston-Salem sucks??? Winston-Salem is a great city! You have to realize, that Ape is remembering the Winston of the 70's. He fondly recalls them big ole planes flying out of Smith-Reynolds Airport. Ernie Shore wasn't a field to him; it was the sheriff. RJR owned the city and the poor kids from the hills used to drop tons of cash downtown when the tobacco market came to town. He doesn't realize that the Winston-Salem of today (hey, how did Wachovia do when they left the penis building?) is a very different place and a much cooler one than the one he remembers. Take a ride sometime Ape. You don't even have to exchange your cash or anything. They take the same worthless dollars in Forsyth County that (sort of) work all over this great land of ours.
Of course we won't hear from Ape for a while. He'll be so happy that Grease is back in Jacksonville that the euphoria will cripple him for a solid week.
