What Happened to Yvonne at Legends?

Better SMILE when you type that. "60" is looming on the horizon for SOME of us.

Rumor has it that the Conesus Volunteer Fire Department was on stand-by April 16th in case the candles on a certain person's birthday cake caused a brush fire.

Nobody has answered my original question. What happened to Yvonne? Did she quit, or was she asked to leave?

Her picture is still on the website, but she's not on the schedule on the website, for whatever that's worth.

It appears then that she no longer works at the station, at least co-hosting morning drive.

Gee, and after such a warm welcome from the folks on this board...

Let's be honest, she wasn't that good on the air, but nobody wants to see people lose their jobs; unless of course they are in management and watching the bottom line.

On the other end of the scale, reading posts from Savage and Radknowski, do songs from 80s era groups like Orchestral Maneuvers In The Dark fit with songs from James Taylor or the Buckinghams? Are the 80s compatible with the 60s? Combination like this happen from time to time on WJYE and WHTT. 97 Rock mixes 60s songs like the Kink's "You Really Got Me" with "Jump" from Van Halen. Maybe this is more acceptable in rock formats than it is in oldies? Aside from Legends, could an FM station mix songs from the 60s, 70s and 80s and be successful: For example, "If You Leave" by OMD, followed by "Fire and Rain" by James Taylor and then "Good Lovin'" by the Rascals? Or is that too mixed up?

This morning alone I heard "Archie Bell and the Drells- Tighten-Up" TWICE; once during morning drive and two hours later.

Another thing I've noticed is the announcers are talking less and playing more music. Is Legends moving away from personality radio?

I think most of us Legends listeners will agree that there is a serious problem when it comes to music repetition. While you heard the same song twice during a span of a few hours, I was listening to Josh Nichols recorded weather forecast during the afternoons while on the road and heard the same problem, which was Legends computer system airing two forecasts at the same time. This didn't happen just once, but was repeated several times during the afternoon. Does anyone at the station, including the announcer or board operator, bother to actually listen what’s going over the air?
If so then they would have caught this mistake the first time.
I've been a vocal advocate and supporter of Legends attempts to provide listeners with live announcers and a variety of music, but I must say that after listening to this format and the quality of the on-air product for over a month now on FM, I'm beginning to be a bit disappointed. There is no reason to air the same songs several times during the week, let along repeated almost on a daily basis. The same jingles have also worn out their welcome. The station still has potential, but is starting to sound stale.

Perhaps they tightened up the playlist, and the computer was desperately trying to drop a hint to the world!
