lalumia said:the selection of dance 'hits' is almost exactly the same....
lalumia said:i'm not saying it to be negative, i'm saying it cos it's true;
with the exception of the robbins break throughs, none of the dance 'hits' connect to the real world, the main stream world,we all know it to be true, let's get a grip on reality, shall we? you can't solve the problem if you pretend that the problem isn't there,and an entire generation of chr has grown up without 'dance' as a viable choice on the menu alongside pop, country,r&b, hip hop and rock; sad but true, that's just the way it is

Ever noticed how most Country songs don't make it onto CHR? Or most Active Rock songs? Or even the majority of songs on the Modern Rock chart? They're still HITS for their respective genre. So if a song gets picked up and does well on most of the Dance stations then yeah it's a Dance hit. Duh!
Mid West Clubber said:Im gonna have to disagree with Chrles on this one, at least for the U.S.A, we dont have enough All Dance stations in such a large country as we do other formats like Country and Active Rock. The other problem is, every Dance station in the U.S sounds different from the next guy, Compare Party, Pulse, Both Energys, all the school stations, BPM, THE BEAT, they all have a totally different playlist.
