I was down there about a month ago and noticed the same problems, too. I just figured they must have mounted their FM antenna on the AM stick and it de-tuned the AM. 1340 always has had a nice, robust signal, but yes, barely audible or non-existent in almost all of Daytona. I was happy to hear the FM at 104.7, but thought that perhaps if their antenna were jacked up higher they would do much better in covering the area. Yes, I did notice more variety in the music than in the past couple of years. Before it was more 50's and early 60's. I have them on my Tune-In-Radio presets, but they haven't been there as of late. I wish them well as I have been a big fan of the station since it's Top 40 days right on thru the 25 years or so they played Standards and up to today. 104.7 is fine, but when I'm back in town, I hope my old favorite, 1340 is loud and clear again.
