Has any one been in WNOX’s new studios? Do they have “room” for 94.3? ???

to seek a larger operational space in the near future.
If and/or when 94 comes back I don't think they'll stay with the current rock format. I would venture a guess
that they would do something more along the lines of Hot AC or Mainstream CHR with the signal since there is
so much more listenership available.

I bet they do left wing News Talk for the smaller audience.

Pirkle ought to bring all the independently owned stations into his group and manage, sell and run them as a cluster.

Doug is down to drips and drabes of what is left of the Horne Radio Network. I understand that Pirkle sold some of stations for him.
Can anyone hear Doug Horne's blood pressure dropping at the thought of this?

A very large percentage of the posts here are about the activities of this Pirkle guy, so I started checking around to learn what I could about him. I know he owns WNOX and WNFZ, because I learned that on this forum. But that is about all I have learned about him since I moved up here.
As a person with a lot of interest in the media, I have friends in the Greater Knoxville Advertising Club, the Society of Professional Journalists, the American Marketing Assoc., and even the TAB. One thing they all have in common is that none of them knows this person. Is he invisible, or what? Does anyone know if he lives around here, or if he has stations in other markets?...somebody tell me the deal on this invisible man nobody seems to know.
Curiously,
BB

Life's too short to let such things bother you. Pretty sure this guy's not a joiner, or at least isn't the type to sit in an Ad Club meeting waiting for people to come up and bug him for a job.
If you wanna know what he looks like, go to the station on Kingston Pike and ask the receptionist if she knows of anyone there who would make a really good Col. Sanders impersonator.
But don't be surprised if he's not there all the time. Rumor has it he's like The Ninja.
