At this point it doesn't really matter if you are Brad or not Brad or have a hot girlfriend or if you don't have a girlfriend

The point is you have been busted as being someone that is in radio due to your knowledge of ratings and demos sent to radio stations.

Just call it a day and get back to whatever you or Brad do all day at work.

???? The best thing to hit Memphis radio??? Are you SERIOUS? Snap is the biggest piece of festering dog feces ever to stink up the radio landscape. I'd rather hit myself in the crotch with a hammer while watching C-Span than listen to the crappola that squeezes its way from their station to my speakers.

Please someone kill it before it kills any more brain cells.
 
I couldn't have said it better myself Apollo, I wish I had your talent for imagery. I've been trying all day to find something good to say about Brad, or yumdialer or whoever the hell he is. Still nothing comes to mind.....except maybe the fact that he has a high level of self confidence albiet ill conceived and poorly presented.
 
OK, I'll say something nice about Brad...

He expells carbon dioxcide that is used by plants to create oxygen for the rest of use.

Seriously, I have never met Brad. I have never listened to Snap. Don't really care if I ever do. Not my kind of station.

BUT...

This is the best thread I have seen in a while. I havn't laughed this hard at the internet in a while. Yumdialer is truly Brad OR his "hot girlfriend." The comparison to Stern!!!! that is good stuff. Brad in NY soon!!!! I Love it. Everyone on the board is jealous!!!! You can't be serious. I have never know Meep to be jealous over anything except someone with a bigger cooler on the golf course. And Bratton jealous because he's NOT at Snap. I almost spit iced tea all over my monitor.

I LOVE THIS THREAD!!!!!! Please, Yumdialer, say something about me!!!! Say that I am jealous that Brad can cook an omelet in the shower while shaving his back, brushing his teeth, and unclogging the drain, all while wearing his Superman costume since he is about to fly over Memphis and save the population from King Willie. (actually I would be jealous of that to be honest)

and one more thing, a thread that brings Forrest Jump out of the woodwork is always a good thing!
 
It all comes down to this: Sometimes the programming and management braintrusts at these groups are standing there with no clothes on.

Citadel thought that Smooth Jazz was going to take off ... Strike one. Then they thought Power 99 was the answer ... Strike two. They thought a dump truck full of money was going to get Drake & Zeke to shore up 98.1 ... Strike three, you're out! Now we should think they're getting smart with Kim? Why?

Over at Entercom, they blew up Froggy to give us the cash furnace known as the Buzz ... Strike one. On the AM side, the Entercom suits were all moist about Air America and local whack-job Leon Gray ... Strike two. Now here comes Snap 94.1 with a format that has a zero percent chance of catching on in this market ... Swing and a miss, strike three!

One more Entercom thought: When you have a powerful FM station that is in 17th place, surrounded in the ratings by paid religion and Dr. Flinn AMs, you have to question the judgment of the people in charge.
 
Its getting really bad around here. Now even Brad on his own Myspace page is all worked up over the fact that you all believe I am him. I wish I were. He has everything we all desire. The woman, the job and the most importantly the power to make SNAP a success. In the years I have tracked radio people, nobody has ever attarcted the response that Brad has. When I went to college for communications they told us how to deal with negative energy. Brad is a big boy, and he can deal with your hate. Infact it empowers him. Are you all afraid that he will beat your radio stations and create a bad situation for you all. Or is it that you're just unable to understand the intense dynamics of this market. Brad was nice to me, and he was always fair to the employees of the Buzz. He had a job to do and he did it. Why else would they promote him to the director of rhythm... and before any of you haters come on here and say ...oh thats not really the PD title and just a thing they made up for Brad, I have news for you. This title is going to take over the industry as the standard for a hybrid PD/OM. Again Entercom, and Brad breaking new ground. I dont care what you all think. Because Brad is going to win here and exit in SNAP! With ratings in one hand and his hot wife in an another.

Agreed. YUMDIALER has certainly given us something to look forward to on the board.

It's as if he's made Brad/Himself a parody of Brad/Himself, and after each reply, we can watch for a new, more disturbing level to be reached.

Either way, Brad must be so proud!

I've been off the boards for a while, but decided to peek in today to see what was going on... And I must say, I haven't laughed this hard in a VERY long time! ::)

Brad Carson for GM at Entercom? That's the most delusional thing I've heard in a very long time. Entercom may have done some bizarre things with their Memphis cluster in the recent past, but I absolutely can't see them handing the reigns of this new multi-million dollar cluster to a 30 year- old with only PD experience that is minimal at best! Boy-wonder or not, it just ain't gonna happen. Maybe in market 120, but not in Memphis. Could you really see Olson or any of the more seasoned taking cues from Brad? Or the staff members (on-air or not) at any of their stations for that matter? Seriously! They've been on the air longer than he has been on the earth!

Anyhow... whoever YUMDIALER is, thanks for the laugh! I can always depend on this board to keep me entertained on slow days!
 
Hey, Yummy , heres a opinion from someone who know nothing about radio, than how to turn it on.... I didn't listen to the Buzz much but i like it a hell of alot better than snap.. It sucks, I don't know who Brad is nor do i care ............but this is a funny thread ;D

The fact that he went on his MySpace and denied all of this, proves that he is indeed YUMDIALER. Most folks who didn't need to promote their own cause would just ignore the accusation altogether. It obvious, Brad is terrified, and is doing whatever he can to keep his name out front. Look at all of the All Access posts he makes about his new airstaff, etc. He is a self-promoter who has no track record to base his reputation on.

And, no, his staff did NOT love him, just ask them. Argo? Tripp? Tell us how much you love Brad. ::)

:eek: Oh, I never actually called him a wonder-boy! I meant that even if he WERE one, he'd never be GM of a 6 station cluster in a top 50 market at 30 years-old.

My money is on Entercom promoting someone from another mid-sized market who they have already put all of their time and money into and who has LOTS more experience. You don't buy a couple of heritage stations and turn them over to a "kid"! And in this business and especially in this market, that's exactly what Brad is. I don't think even Entercom would do something that ridiculous!

Could you see him running a sales meeting with the vets from 100? They'd eat him alive!
 
In this day and age of radio, your thoughts and opinions, lack integrity, and credibility. You are speaking of things as they were once, and not as how they are now. Radio is not about the DJ's, it's not about the music, its all about the sales. Snap is engineered to create general interest in the market, and give people meter the type of hits it will need. I bet all of you are thinking about the days when DJ's could play what they want. Well those days are over. It is the days of the corporate programmer of which Brad is. David Field must be proud of everything Brad has done for the market. The fact that nobody has said anthign nice shows that you all have an agenda. Infact I bet you are just former Buzz employees who are mad at the situation. Brad is not the one who destroyed it. The cracks about his wife are so low. She is an amazing sensualist who any one of you would kill to have including the ladies. I have half a mind to send this thread to Entercom and show them how much "BUZZ" Brad is getting. If I owned the company I would sense the fear in your hearts and minds.

I am a full time working professional in the radio market here, and I vote to get this crap removed and return back to intelligent, thought provoking, relationship building conversations on this board. As for Yumdialer, Brad, whoever and whatever..I've completely lost what little bit of respect I did have for Crap 94.1. This stunt is pathetic, and if I were you I wouldn't forward it to the Big Wigs at Entercom- it may just raise a red flag against you and your format. Thus I'm done even scanning past 94.1 for "competition/ marketplace" sake until your numbers begin to show otherwise, so stop playing on the board and put your real skills to use..Let your craft do the talking ;D

This is fun. I am enjoying Yummy make up stuff to blame everyone for. Who said they "hate" Brad??? I did not see it. Who said bad things about his future wife?? I didn't see that either.

Bottom line is this, Brad has done absolutely nothing to earn respect. I don't hate him. I have never met him. And it is very true that a station can fail with a great programmer if the suits really want it to. I don't really blame the demise of the Buzz on Brad. I think that falls on whomever had the brilliant idea to fire Kramer.

As for everyone on this board were fired from the buzz, I don't think I have seen anyone on here that fits the bill. There are some former Entercom (or Sinclair as it was before the Enteercom buy out) employees on here. None of are bitter toward Brad for anything. He had nothing to do with me leaving the building. So please do not say we are trying to get back at Brad by posting on this board.

But, Yummy, if that is your real name, I love reading your hype and adoration for Brad.

Truth is, I am baiting you for more of your witty banter!
