It has been explained to you by several of us already. I will type this very slowly so your limited intellect can grasp it. So read this carefully.

The names "Jack" and "JackFM", when applied to a radio station, are BRAND NAMES. Someone owns the rights to thost names, so no one is allowed to use those names unless they pay the owner of the rights to those names the amount of money that the owner of the names demands.

Do you understand what that means?

Can you understand that a station can't just start calling itself "Jack" or "JackFM" unless that station pays for the privilege?

And now that I have explained it to you a second time, and others have also posted the same answer in here, could you please stop asking that same damn question?

An apology

If I have offended any simpletons by what I said in my earlier post. I apologize.

So what does the fact that CBS owns KDKA-TV, or your personal taste in contests and whatever have to do with the fact that "Jack" is a brand name, and whoever owns the station has to pay whoever owns the rights to the name "Jack" a big pile of money in order to use the name "Jack"?

In other words, what the hell are you talking about?

Does your mommy know you're using her computer?

No, CBS "deosn't" own the rights to "jackfm". Didn't you read the post by Johnny Morgan where he explained it?

Jack isn't CBS. "Jack-FM" is owned by Bob Perry (of Buzznet Media, also known as Cadillac Jack Garrett) as his intellectual property. Perry invented the format, has trademarked and copyrighted it, produces the format bible as exclusive proprietary information, and owns the name. CBS happens to have a licensing agreement with Jack-FM, but it is not exclusive. Anyone who wants to do a "Jack-FM" format must seek a license from Perry/Buzznet (through their licensing agent, Wall Media)--it's not a CBS product or CBS's property.

Why don't you try reading what other's have posted before blathering on and on and making a total fool of yourself.

And you still haven't answered. Does your mommy know you're using her computer?
