flyingdj: They said that they were keeping Mike and Mike on 1260 Khz because they had built up a big following so you can still catch them on the AM side while the local program will be on the FM side.

Alex Loeb can be heard co-hosting "Adams & Loeb" on ESPN Austin 104.9 weekdays from noon to 3pm. Alex began his broadcasting career at "The U," doing award-winning play-by-play work for the Miami Hurricanes football, basketball and baseball teams. While attending the University of Miami, he also anchored news and sports for the UM television station. Alex's first job out of college took him cross-country to San Angelo, Texas. What started out as culture shock eventually turned into the best learning experience of his life. He produced, edited, shot, wrote and anchored the nightly weekday sportscast for KSAN. He learned about the tradition that is Texas high school football and, most importantly, it was where he met his future wife. But after 4 years in the Concho Valley, it was back to Miami to work for the ABC affiliate WPLG. He anchored and reported extensively on the Heat, traveling with the team during their 2006 championship run. In addition to covering sports, he reported on hard news including Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma. He also had the pleasure of working under sportstalk radio legend Hank Goldberg, while doing updates for WQAM. After four years however Alex was on the move again heading up north to Bristol, Connecticut. The home of ESPN. Every sports fan's dream. While working for the Worldwide Leader, he anchored updates on ESPN2 during the Scott Van Pelt Show, hosted various shows on ESPN.com with the likes of Cris Carter and Eric Allen and co-hosted a number of NBA podcasts alongside Jalen Rose and Bruce Bowen. Which brings Alex to where he is today. In 2012, Alex and his family decided to make the move to Austin (where his wife's family resides) and they couldn't enjoy it more. The people are warmer than the weather and there is nothing like talking about football in Texas (at any level). If you're not listening to Alex on the Horn, you can also catch him doing play-by-play on the Longhorn Network or out and about chowing down on some of the best BBQ on the planet.

flyingdj: There were some calls and texts complaining that the AM won't have the same lineup (all the local programs) as the FM. They suggested that they listen on the computer or smartphone if you can't pick up FM in your area and want to hear the local programs that won't be on the AM.
