while on the subject of Hot. i like this station but what is up with their audio processing? its awful and not listenable at times.. like the mid range on the eq is set too high.

I'd somewhat agree. Sounds a bit "stuffy."

I've always thought that Hot's processing sounded like the country processor presets... lots of mids and lousy bass.

I thought the same thing when the "Hot" format hit the air...I mentioned on a post at the time that it all sounded like lossy MP3 files. Perhaps deliberately trying to mimick an iPod or other MP3 player, which is what the target demographic is most familiar with?

Audio on 95.7 was much better during the previous Smooth Jazz and Country days.
