Don't bother with any WALE airchecks (if they even exist)......by that time, Steve was already past his prime.
Love him or hate him......we won't see the likes of The Captain in this business again.

Matt is going to do the Saturday show for the next few months. He mentioned it tonight.
This is the best thing to happen to talk radio since Steve Kass. Hope Matt makes history!
I wish it were Depetro 10 to 2. Yorke 2 till 6 and then Matt.
Aside from Cianci standing against Cicilline, he is Wishy - Washy on everything else.
I remember the great things Depetro was able to do at WHJJ , when he was 10 to 2.
When he was able to be the Talk Host . I know WPRO had to make things change to get Cianci.
Maybe when Buddy gets bored or moves on from radio, then WPRO can do something like what I have written. WPRO is clearly the power house of R.I. talk radio.
The only bright spot at WHJJ is Helen Glover. At least there's alittle life still there.

What will happen to Mike Savage's show on WPRO? Mike must be furious with all the station and time changes for his show between WPRO and WHJJ. I know that Jerry Doyle , now on 10-12 on WPRO, is also on WADK 1540 in Newport from 4-6 weekdays. But despite these changes at WPRO and WHJJ, I still believe that WHJJ will continue gain some audience share because it does have a great lineup during the day with Helen, Glenn, Rush, Sean, and Mark. I get tired of hearing all local radio all day, with some hosts talking about the same subject.
Right now, Savage airs 7-10, my understanding( don't remember if they said this or not on air yesterday, maybe I'm getting it off the board) is that Savage will be 9-11 now with Jerry Doyle 11-1, they cut an hour off each show and tape delay the 2nd hour of Savage
