The RKO stations lost out (some sold, some revoked) due to the parent, General Tire, being convicted of having engage in bribery in Argentina, Libya and other places in violation of US law.
KRLA lost the license due to having a canadian who owned mor ethan the legal limit for foreigners at the time.
