Whats the Best Weekend Talk show in Atlanta

There are plenty of good radio shows on weekends but I really enjoy Bob and the Rodman or Rick and Bubba but my favorite show has to be the Career Doctors Saturday from noon to 2:00 on WGKA

Love my weekend fix of the Clark and Arum Expedition on WSB. They are great. ::)

I can't believe that this is actually a thread!
You are listening to a show on WGKA from noon to two on Saturdays?
You may be one of about five people.
As I tend to consume the sports products or WSB mostly, there are a few options for worst;
1) Arum and the kickstand or whatever they call themselves. Look, nobody knows who you are and so the whole kickstand thing is annoying. Arum is a traffic guy who is constantly making references to chasing women and such. Buddy, don't forget people see you giving traffic updates on the TV periodically so the whole "man about town" thing rings hollow. I can only imagine the "hotties" knocking down their door to hang with you.
2) The worst voice in Atlanta radio resides on 790 with Jeff Wolverton on the weekends. He sounds higher pitched than my 11 year old daughter and constantly has to tell the audience how he watches more sports than anyone. Dude, if you were really such an expert and had the talent you would have cracked the lineup at 790 considering they change shows about every other month!
3) The absolute worst show is the Score Atlanta magazine talk show on Sundays. I think it is the old AJC reporter Rosenberg and some of his friends who have no name value or talent to offer on the airwaves. I am sure that this is part of his deal to promote 790 he gets this exposure, but he is awful and the contributors offer nothing.

The Best

Handel on the law
Braves talk show after games with Mitch Evans (who is a huge step up from last year)
Kincade's weekend national ESPN show

Rick and Bubba really have their fingers on the pulse of Atlanta. It's like they have lived here their whole lives. In addition, they are really funny; much funnier than Bob and Tom. Next would be Brisket Bits with Steven "Brisket" Shapiro on 790 The Zone. He really knows restaurants in this town. it's almost like the callers and the guests are talking only about places he frequents. (If you can't tell, I am being sarcastic.)

Kim Komando, Costas Coast to Coast and Handel on the Law are the ones I try to catch, if I remember.

It's a shame that they are syndicated and we don't have a good local talk show. Apparently, the "Ho-down with Rodney Ho" never got legs.

I like Matt Drudge and, of course, "You have no case" Bill Handel.
I have not listened to Rick and Bubba since the interview with the math professor/Christian apologist aired. I still can't believe these guys did something that intellectual.....it was a good interview!
Paula Gordon and her husband do an excellent show on Sundays at 5PM on WGUN. Kinda highbrow....might not be everybody's cup o' tea but a well done show.
When I get up early enough I like O'neil on WSB. I never realized there were so many bait shops in the southeast.....

Oh....Oh....Oh....
How could I forget Mike Kavenaugh, WSB, on Sunday mornings? One of the best financial advise programs in the country.
And do John Adams and Gene Hensler still air anywhere? I have not heard them in ages. John Adams had(has) a great real estate program geared to investors. Dr. Gene had a terrific investment show.

Both are on the big CFO, 1160-am. John Adams is on Saturdays, 9-11 a.m., followed by Dr. Gene & Co.

I totally forget drudge he's good, eventhough I like Herman Cain after he talks about getting rid of Social Security he's has nothing of any value to discuss. I can only listen to Cavenaugh in small doses. I like listening to coast to coast for entertainment value.

They've all been mentioned already, but Mike Kavanagh, Bill Handel and John Adams are my favorites. Mike is informative, personable, concerned and sincere. Handel has a great broadcast delivery, a combination of voice and personality, as well as a dry sense of humor. Adams is funnier in person but knowledgeable and informative on the air.

Nobody asked, but the worst weekend show in my opinion is The Satellite Sisters.

Amen! I forget about the that waste of 3 hours.
Worse list.
The satelite sisters and cigar Dave would probably be #1 and #2

A weekend show that I forgot to mention is Alan Hunt on WSB. His show is now also carried on Cox's WOKV in Jacksonville, which is a WSB clone.

swim or die on sundays is pretty good. tribble from 680 does that show and it isnt about sports. he doesnt do the show every sunday but its not bad.

Gotta agree with the Alan Hunt show, Handle on the Law and Kim Commando. BTW, have you guys ever SEEN her?! Holy cow..... what a looker! Satellite sisters is definitely waaaaaaaaay down there. Michael Reagan on WGKA can be good at times.

Now the best weekend show USED to be "Its Your Health" with Paige Long. Of course, I say that because I was lucky enough to co-host it with her!

;)

Bill Handel is very entertaining. I sometimes enjoy the Arum & Clark Expedition. It is a nice break form the usual.

I vote for Bill Handel Komando (since we don't get Leo Laporte) as the best on the weekend. I would also vote for Art Bell Coast To Coast but I can't receive WGST at night. Thankfully, Atlanta is close enough to Nashville and the WLAC signal is strong at night.
