"Jake" Jack Gale is alive and well back in Florida doing voice overs - one still for the little cheaper dealer auto company in K-ville. At 80, still going strong! Talked to Jack a few month ago. Great man! BIG WAYS was a giant.

Stan and Sis knew talent, knew how to promote and knew great radio from the ground up. Never did get handle on the poodle pee tho....

Stan is the only guy I know of who showed up for a court appearance wrapped in a station banner ;D

As did I...Also talked to another name you might remember..Tom Tyler..who was at WSPA for quite a while and at WKKO Cocoa, where I knew him from..

I was down the street (dirt road on Pluckebaum at WRKT) when Marvin bought it..I believe if memory serves me right Marvin had been over in Orlando at WHOO and WLOF in sales..(Actually at that time WRKT was still on Cocoa beach where the Caravelle Lounge laater was) I got an e-mail from Marvin several years ago, I believe he said he was living in Satelitte Beach? Small world, Eyewitness other Big Ways people like Jack Gale, Melvin and several others were also at WKKO before Kaplans reign in JAX!
