that said. the cable version of radio (XM) has a channel that plays nothing but old school hip hop (xm 65 the rhyme) and they have a show called the 'ill-out show' which is hosted by prince paul and his crew. that show is like a breath of fresh air for me because its funny and relaxed. i actually STAY in my car listening to it. it's the closest thing to the freedom regular radio had in the 80s. you can hear it in the tone of their voices..they're funny, playful, fun, and free from all those recent extreme restrictions the effin' FCC has brought to american terrestial radio
