It also says that Axel is a jock and I am willing to bet he will also be on Rock Atlanta 100.5. Axel is not sticking around to jus work the internet nor would they pay him his money for that. He will probably VT the Internet.

I venture to say, that IF S & V returned to 100.5, you might hear a name from the past like Peach or something. Crum. does have a history of hijacking of other companies previous formats/monikers only to never bring them back to success. Maybe this time it will be differento.

Yes they are going to hijack a former Atlanta moniker and that former staions Morning Show. Stopping thinking it is Steve & Vikki. They did not make this major switch to hire Bert's biggest competitor and put them on Bert's old signal. They are taking the Rock away from 96Rock along with the Regular Guys.

Has anyone noticed that when you still go to allthehitsq100.com, the logo still says Q100.5FM? I would have assumed that anyone who hasn't listened would see a new logo that says Q100 at 99.7FM. I get the audio part but why would they wait to update logos??

Perhaps hit refresh because I do not see what you are seeing.

Well they must have changed the very top. But if you still scroll to the bottom of the page you'll see the old logo promoting the Bert Show as well as the Q100.5 music store... I think the whole site should have been updated by 10:00 am this morning.

You are right that was by far the most important thing to do today. Make sure the logo at the bottom of our website for the music store does not say Q100.5. What a bunch of hyper-critical people. Big picture that does not matter one bit at this point. Get a life!!!!

I agree with you on the rock scenerio. The only reason I venture to say Lite to Semi-Warm AC with S & V is to have two strong female geared (but one skewing slightly younger and hipper, Q) vs. throwing a rocker on 100.5 geared toward men. The money demo, split wisely, spells disaster for
Star financially. If you take the pieces of Rock and put them into a station, you have to get it right to get good numbers (which I think Crumulus
would play the station to safe and get nothing great out of it --- hence screw it up.) Bert Show and S & V MIGHT be able to con-exist just fine
under that scenerio. Again, key word --- illogical and non-risky --- the mantra of the day. I seriously believe it will be a disappointing Monday morning.

They don't always change calls right away, and never during a stunt. 99X was still WAPW for several months before it became WNNX (and Power 99 was still WARM for several months before it became WAPW). Ditto with WFOX becoming WSRV, and WCHK (FM) becoming WGST (FM).

CC changing WPCH to WLTM and WLTM to WUBL was an exception, although WQXI FM switched to WSTR right away as well.

Q100 is not WWWQ; 100.5 is WWWQ. 99.7 is WNNX. The call letters are licensed to the frequency, not the brand.

Roddy, sorry to disagree you with you but I heard it is Michele Engel. She is done popping out babies and wants a shot at Dave FM. She is pushing her plan of Alternative Lite with a twist. Mopey alternative minus Dave Matthews, Lillith Fair, grunge and active rock with a sprinkling of classic rock. What is the over/under on how soon it takes Larry to make her weep.

The speculation is interesting. If TRG do not appear there, it will be the first time a Very Credible Source passed me a rumor which didn't pan out. Not to say it might well not, but if not, it will be a first of 22 odd years.

Look--Larry told me the truth the first time around at about 5:45 p.m. two weeks ago (certainly he didn't know he wasn't supposed to say anything). I reported it online so after John Dickey heard the cat was out of the bag, it appears he told Larry to lie if he talked to me again and Larry complied an hour later. At that time (about 7 p.m.), I bought John Dickey's sales pitch to me that Larry was the one who was lying in the first place (and that he was thinking about S&V). I pulled the info about the Regular Guys at about 8 p.m., adding the S&V idea. But after talking to reliable sources, I realized I had been double bamboozled and told the whole sordid tale in full at about 1 a.m.

Two weeks later, based on the evidence, I'd say odds are better than 95% that the Regular Guys are coming on soon (probably but possibly as early as Monday). Naturally, the Dickeys have the perfect right to change their minds before the official launch, thus I'm not making saying it's a 100% definite. But all this confusion has certainly sown just enough confusion for people to question it, which was the best Dickey could do under the circumstances.

I'm looking forward to talking to John Dickey Monday! It should be a fun conversation!

I wish it would happen, but I would settle for the Regular Guys and a rock format like The Buzz before it merged with 96 Rock and became Project 961. I'm so over the "classic rock"!
