Well, another week has passed. Looks like everyone is over debating the news/talk segment of the market?

[Still under. Monday HHH was live and in person while Ed & Bob were airing Fox News. It may be too late for 100.3 to get its act together. Big stick or not they're really sounding small market. /quote]
Are you sure HHH was live? I turned on both stations to see if either was live, and heard what I thought was a holiday special on 100.3 (probably the "Fox News" you mentioned) and a "best of" on 98.7.
Granted, I only listened to each for about 30 seconds, so maybe I missed it if old "crown and scepter" was live.
And about a small market sound, what do you think K-town is, New York City? It IS a small market, Dawg!

Radioceo said:OK.....here it is...straight from the horse's mouth. It was necessary to get WNOX on the air in a VERY short period of time. Sign on day came with a bare minimum of equipment SOMEWHAT up and running. There was NO time for smoke testing prior to going on air. Not an ideal situation, but that's just the way it was. Now that the station is up and running the task of getting everything up to par is tantamount to replacing the crankshaft in a running engine.
The "tin can" analogy is getting old. There has been NO time yet to devote to correcting the control room acoustics.
Bottom line is this, the remaining problems CAN and WILL be corrected over time. For the other guys, unfortunately, there's little if anything that can be done to correct their problems. And the crappy audio they are currently putting out will only cause listener fatigue resulting in additional tune outs from the average listener who can't really tell you why they just pushed the channel button, aside from the superior programming on WNOX.
