More broadly, I'd say that anyone who reads and posts here is not "typical". We care enough about radio to talk about it, and most people don't anymore.

And it's become even more true over the years. If we could rewind back to the eighties I suspect that we'd find that people who put radio station bumper stickers on their cars and actively participated in radio station contests and promotions probably *did* talk about radio. And while that was probably never a majority of radio listeners, it once was a lot of people -- when I moved to Dallas in 1984 I was amazed at how many cars had bumper stickers for AC-formatted KVIL around here.
Needless to say, all that is gone today and radio is not something that many people give a thought to.
